Welcome to LFSA – Providing housing for the people of Lewisham for 50 years
Lewisham Families Self-Help Association is a small charitable Association managing approximately 48 homes in the London Borough of Lewisham.
Our History
The majority of our properties were formerly ‘short-life’ which we held on temporary licenses from Lewisham Council. In the mid 1990s the Council decided to dispose of the properties, as they were all in urgent need of substantial refurbishment and they did not have the funds available to carry out the work. The properties were subsequently transferred to various Housing Associations and a programme of major improvement works began.
Today
We now manage the properties and some additional ‘new build’ flats and houses for two of the Associations involved in the original refurbishment programme. The two are: Hexagon Housing Association and Southern Housing.
